Turner by Jean Seiz is a beautiful biography of one of my favourite painters. Seiz examines Turners life, personality, ambitions and determination - how he, the son of a barber in late eighteenth century, became one of Englands best landscape painters. Featuring 77 colour and black and white paintings, this book is the perfect source of landscape inspiration!

Durham Art Gallery rests on the traditional land of the Saugeen Ojibway Nation, which is represented by the communities of Saugeen First Nation and Chippewas of Nawash Unceded First Nation. The Métis Nation of Ontario, whose history and people are also well represented in what are now known as Bruce and Grey Counties.
