Exhibition Proposal
Who Should Apply?
Contemporary Artists based across Ontario are encouraged to apply. We encourage two-dimensional work and three-dimensional work, installation art and performance art.
Artists should have a well rounded body of work featuring work that connects with a idea, theme, or thought that is expressed through your work.
Artists are asked to examine how their work supports the mission of the Durham Art Gallery: The Durham Art Gallery provides a welcoming, inclusive centre for community engagement and appreciation of contemporary art, ideas, and culture, while continuing to build Community, Equity, and Diversity through responsible stewardship. We produce dynamic public programs that inspire creativity, appreciation, dialogue and engagement while building bridges to span the perceived gap between contemporary art and rural communities.
Exhibition Proposals are reviewed bi-annually, you will recieve a confirmation on submission of the form. Programming at the Durham Art Gallery is typically structured one to two years in advanced, so exhibition proposals will be for 2028
